My Life in Pink and
Green, is a fiction book written by Lisa Greenwald. This book takes place at a
pharmacy in Connecticut, where Lucy wants to save her family pharmacy. The
pharmacy is witnessing financial difficulties. Between Lucy, her best friend
Sunny, and her older sister Claudia, they try to save the pharmacy.
As Lucy tries to find ways to save
the pharmacy from going bankrupt she explores several options. Her grandmother
on the other hand does not want her to do so, she keeps saying Lucy’s too young
to save a business. All Lucy wants, is for her grandmother to take her ideas
seriously. Her good friend Sunny encourages Lucy through every challenge. Her
family went through a long hard road in saving money because the family
pharmacy was in danger of foreclosure. Lucy is a natural problem solver and all
she wants to do is help. Lucy on her own can make a difference.
I think Lisa Greenwald was very
successful in showing the main idea of the story which is one person can make a
difference. She gives many examples on what would happen if you were in the
same situation that Lucy and her family were in, with all of the financial
difficulties and and solutions. Lucy can make a difference on her own
The novel, My Life in Pink and Green
really shows what life could come to if you are having financial difficulties
and if you need to fix it by yourself you can make a difference. I would
recommend this book to anyone, as it makes you want to read more. The book
encourages you to look for other ways to help turn a business around, and make
it successful.
Dear Makyla,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your book review. How old is Lucie because the grandmother said she is too young to save a business?
Sincerely,
Lucas Sezlik
Dear Makayla
ReplyDeleteGreat review, how does the pharmacy go out of business? Do they ever save the pharmacy? Was there anything else blocking her from getting the money like maybe a company?
Otherwise interesting story,
Sincerely Matteo Gaussorgues.
Dear Makyla,
ReplyDeleteYour review is very detailed and interesting to read. But, When in this book does the plot escalate and are there any unexpected plot twists or changes? When were you surprised and what caused it?
Sincerely,
Jacob
Dear Makyla,
ReplyDeleteVery nice review, I really enjoyed it. If you were in Claudia's shoes what actions might you have taken? After reading this novel, do you feel that you can make a bigger difference in this world and how?
Sincerely,
Simran Singh
Dear Makyla,
ReplyDeleteI would have to say after reading this book it was definitely not one of my favorites. Your task is to provide 3 strong adjectives along with an example for each that would help promote this novel in a more positive light.
Sincerely,
Mr. King
Dear Makyla,
ReplyDeleteI liked reading your book review. I was just wondering how old Lucy is because her grandmother kept saying she's to young. If she was about 3 I would agree with the grandmother, but if she was 13 I would disagree.
Thanks,
Jordy
Dear Makyla,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your book review a lot. Exactly what sort of challenges did Lucy have to face? Would you consider the grandmother the antagonist since she discourages Lucy from saving the pharmacy?
Sincerely,
Adele
